President's Message,

Dear Members and Friends,

We are thrilled that the International Friendship Club's formal season is upon us.  We look forward to seeing those of you who are in town at our Opening Reception on December 13.  It will be an exciting evening with a traditional Mexican posada. Live music in the courtyard, food and beverages.  The posada will also feature young singers from ALAS Escuela de Canto and musicians from IAMPV, two charitable organizations supported by IFC grants.  Tickets are available now, click HERE.

Please log in to the new IFC website and register.  The new website uses the same old URL, which is ifcvallarta.org. This will allow you to register for classes and events.  Members will be able to communicate with other members through the website's handy Member Directory.

Coming soon, a newsletter featuring the new website.   Keep an eye out!

Please consider volunteering for one of the many activities needing volunteers. You can explore the options on the website's Volunteer page HERE.  Opportunities are available in several areas.  The new website also allows you to sign up to volunteer when you are registering for an activity.

We hope you are excited about the season's new offerings.

Can't wait to see you soon!

Volcanes, called Viva Volcanes (aka the Volcanes Community Education Project) helps children stay in school through after-school tutoring and teaching community involvement. Today, it’s teaching hundreds of children English, computer skills, music, and life lessons that can break the cycle of poverty.

Recently this organization has suffered a devastating loss of  the founder, Arthur Fumerton.  They are struggling to pay their teachers. If you are able to help, you can contribute to them directly by visiting: https://volcanesproject.com/

The book club members enjoyed connecting on November 12th to discuss the book, Mexican Gothic.

December's book is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows.

To participate in person or online, please register at the IFC Events Calendar.
